Saffron bulbs are locally acclimatized and come exclusively from our own cultivation.
They are grown naturally, without pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals, in complete harmony with nature.
We hand-select each bulb, piece by piece, to offer only healthy, vigorous, and top-quality specimens.
These bulbs have excellent flowering and development potential, being the basis of a productive crop.

Bulbs are available in several variants:

  • Mix 6/10 per kilogram – contains approximately 130 medium and large-sized bulbs, between 6 and 10 cm in circumference.

  • 10/10+ per piece – large, individually selected bulbs with a circumference of 10 to 11 cm.

  • 11/11+ per piece – the largest and most vigorous bulbs, ideal for high production from the first year after planting.

  • Reverse growing season

Its natural growth cycle is the opposite of that of ordinary plants: vegetation begins in autumn, with flowering and, at the same time, the development of leaves.

Saffron bulbs begin to germinate in early autumn, with the gradual decrease in soil temperature, and flowers usually appear in October-November.
After flowering, the leaves continue their development, then the plant enters a vegetative dormancy during spring and summer.
This particularity has direct implications for planning maintenance and harvesting work.

  • Estimated flower yield

The number of flowers produced by a saffron bulb in the first year after planting varies depending on the caliber (bulb size), but also on the growing conditions (soil, humidity, sun exposure, cultivation technology).
In general, saffron bulbs are sized based on their circumference, and productivity is directly proportional to bulb size.
However, the final yield can be influenced by several factors, including the quality of land preparation and subsequent crop care.

  • Availability and orders

The bulbs are removed at the end of the growing season, starting in July and continuing until August, when they are to be planted again.
Therefore, deliveries are made exclusively on an order basis and only during this time of year.
